Statement of Faith

The following Statement of Faith reflects our own specific theological identity within that world-wide Church.

 “We believe that:

  1.  That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will and purpose for the salvation of all men. It constitutes the Divine and only true rule of the Christian Faith and Practice.
  2. That there is one true and living God. He is everlasting, infinite in power, wisdom and goodness. He is the Creator of all things visible and invisible.
  3. That this true and living God became flesh and dwelt among us, accepting earthly limitations for the purpose of the incarnation. That Jesus being true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary, died upon a cross for the unjust as a substitutionary sacrifice, bringing salvation through His shed blood, to all who believe in Him. That He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures and is now at the right hand of the Father as our Great High Priest, and will return to this planet earth to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and justice.
  4. That the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is a Divine Person, the Comforter sent by the Lord Jesus Christ to indwell, guide and teach the believer and to convince, convict and convert the world of and from sin.
  5. In the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. That it is a gift from God promised to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This baptism of the Holy Ghost is accompanied by the speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives the utterance as the initial sign and evidence of the baptism.
  6. That man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin entered this world. That man can have redemption and forgiveness of his sin through the atoning and meritorious work of Jesus Christ on the cross. “
  7. In the ordinance of Water Baptism by complete immersion in water. That it is a direct commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ and is for believers only. It is a symbol of the believer’s identification with Jesus Christ in His vicarious death, burial and resurrection.
  8. That the Bible teaches that without Holiness no man can see the Lord. As a result sanctification is necessary as a definite, yet progressive work of the grace of God commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation.
  9. That the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper or Holy Communion is a commandment of our Savior Jesus Christ to believers only. It is a memorial of His death and resurrection and the time and frequency of its observance is left to the discretion of the local congregation.
  10. That Divine Healing of all physical ills of the human body is a right for the believer provided for through the atonement of Jesus Christ. It is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands.
  11. In the resurrection of both the just and the unjust. That the just shall be resurrected at the rapture of the Church of the Living God, which is the first resurrection. That the unjust shall be in the second resurrection where they will face the Lord as Judge and receive their just reward.
  12. That the Second Coming of Christ is personal and imminent, at that time He will reign as an earthly King of Icings and Lord of lords and together with His saints who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years.
  13. In a physical Heaven and a physical hell. That the saints shall be with the Lord in a state of bliss in Heaven, but the sinner who without Christ is hopelessly lost will be in hell, the Lake of Fire, in a state of torment.”
